ZOOM MEETING
Sunday December 13th, 10 AM
Pacific Time
Our Fall Book Club selection is the 2017 non-fiction, Black Tudors: The Untold Story, by Miranda Kaufmann, which was named
Book of the Year by the Observer.
Described by British-Nigerian historian David Olusoga as "intricately researched and brilliantly written. This is history on the cutting edge of archival research but alive with human details and warmth."
The book charts the stories of 10 Africans who lived and died in sixteenth-century England with details about their daily lives and how they were treated. One of the 10 was the royal trumpeter to Henry VII and Henry VIII.
It's a community, not a class. Fall behind or skim ahead, but keep on reading and emailing! And do participate in our frequent read alouds of the play via Zoom.
Note, you must participate to the best of your ability from the start in order to attend the final Zoom with our guest speaker.
